A family-owned Napa Valley heritage producer since 1972, Burgess preserves a vineyard legacy that began on Howell Mountain in the 19th century.
As winegrowers we understand we are part of a natural system, which we nourish through regenerative, minimalist farming, adding only what we need so that the vines are in harmony with the land.
Our farms at Sorenson, Quartz Creek, and St. Andrews vineyards are where our principles meet action, offering classically proportioned wines of grace, made with minimal intervention.

Artist Series Dinner
Saturday, July 19th, 2025
Join us in July for an intimate dinner celebrating the collaboration of Burgess and celebrated artist Dr. Seth Parker Woods for our second Artist Collaboration Series Cabernet Sauvignon, featuring “Iced Bodies.”
Dine amongst the vines with Seth and Winemaker Reid Griggs as we gather a community of passionate individuals for a truly memorable night. Seth is a three-time Grammy nominee and music professor and will be treating guests to a cello performance. Dinner will be specially crafted by Michelin-starred Sorrel restaurant from San Francisco, with a variety of seasonal California dishes for this special evening highlighting the artistic mediums of art and wine.
The Burgess Estate Experience
A visit to our Estate includes a private tasting of our current releases as well as vintages from our cellar. Alongside the wines, enjoy canapés and a guided tour of our winery, promiscuously farmed vineyard, and pollinator gardens. Members of the Burgess Society receive exclusive access to The Founder’s Room—a hidden speakeasy featuring a library of historic Burgess vintages.

The Burgess Society
The Burgess Society is a membership built on tradition and inspired by the future in sustainable farming. Established for Burgess enthusiasts, the Burgess Society brings our Napa Valley collection to your home each spring and fall, customized to your preferences.
